I won't say I am back.. we all know how that goes. I will say that I am feeling positive about blogging for the first time in a long time though!

It is my first time doing a monthly favourites post. I always enjoy reading these and watching them on YouTube so I have no idea why I have never done one before but a friend on twitter suggested I do one so here it is...

In no particular order:

Toni&Guy Firm Hold Hairspray - Great smelling, micro fine mist that dries quickly and gives hair a bit of shine. It doesn't really hold that firm but I prefer that.

Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler - I don't need to curl my eyelashes often but when I do this is AMAZING!

Philosophy The Microdelivery Peel - I recently went back to using this after a few months break. Nothing that I have tried works as good as this to soften, brighten, even out my skin tone and improve the texture.

LUSH Rehab Shampoo - I really like the smell of this, love how clean my hair feels when I use it and how super shiny it makes my hair look. Not as good as BIG or I Love Juicy in my opinion but something I will continue to buy.

DDF Sulfur Therapeutic Mask - I have really oily skin and I am still prone to breakouts, this product is amazing at reducing both problems for a few days after use.

YSL Pure Lip Gloss in No. 47 Pure Peach - Gorgeous in every way! <3

YSL Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cil in 01 Black - I have not touched any of my other mascaras since I got this. Applies perfectly, doesn't clump or reduce in effect during the day. It will be a sad day when it runs out but I will re-purchase for sure.

Chanel Eye Shadow Quad in No. 14 Mystic Eyes - Versatile quad with gorgeous colours that work well for both day and night.

NARS Sheer Glow Foundation - So worth the rave reviews - the best foundation I have used yet!!

Philosophy Amazing Grace Firming Body Emulsion - I didn't get this for the firming claims. It is non greasy, absorbs quickly and it makes your skin feel really soft which is perfect for the cooler months. I actually like the smell of this, I have the fragrance and rarely use it as I find it too overpowering.

MAC Moisturelush Eye Cream - Hydrating and brightening eye cream. Perfect!

OPI Dim Sum Plum Polish - LOVE it!! Beautiful colour and fantastic application. Is it just me or does the formula of OPI get better and better with each collection?

Seeing model Jennifer Hawkins at a Myer event, she is STUNNING.

And of course enjoying all that goes along with summer and being single (most of the time anyway!) plus working - I love my new job and the people I work with!

Just a quick update post today, better ones are on the way I promise! If you follow me on twitter (and you should be HERE!!) you may have seen these photos already as I am constantly taking pics and tweeting them. All photos were taken with my new iphone which I am in love with and have no idea how I lived without it until now.

There has been a lot of these posts going around recently and here is my little take on it!

25. Rimmel The MAX Volume Flash Mascara. Purchased on 29th December after my Lancome Hypnose Mascara succumbed to the heat, this mascara did enough in 3 days to impress me and make it onto this list. It is basically fake lashes in a tube, a bright pink tube too!

24. Johnson's Holiday Skin Daily Facial Moisturiser. I love how this gives me a hint of colour all year round. It also does not break me out like most other fake tans do to my face.

23. LUSH Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter. Smells gorgeous and works well. Everyone needs this in their bag, next to their bed or on their desk!!

22. Tigi Masterpiece Massive Shine Hairspray. Holds, adds shine and smells fantastic.

21. Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant. Purchased after a rave review from Laura (Lollipop26), loved because it is so gentle and delivers amazing results.

20. The Body Shop Tantalizing Yes, Yes, Yes / Oui, Oui, Oui Lip Butter. Raved about in the beauty world this year, one of the best lip butters from The Body Shop I have tried (and I have tried MANY!)

19. KEVIN.MURPHY Hair.Resort. Summery beach hair in a bottle! Adds fullness and volume, reduces frizz and smells like a Pina Colada!!

18. Olay Gentle Foaming Face Wash with Aloe. I am not sure what made me pick this up but I am glad I did as it is fantastic at keeping breakouts at bay when my skin is being too sensitive to handle my harsher skincare products.

17. Bare Escentuals i.d. Bareminerals Glimmer Eyeshadow in Queen Tiffany. Makes my green eyes stand out even more than they already do! Can be used day and night.. amazing colour!

16. Lakme Teknia Deep Care Drops. Smells lovely and adds shine without looking oily. I never leave the house without adding this to my hair after styling it.

15. NARS Single Cream Eyeshadow in Corfu. Sure it creases and does not last without a base but I love the colour. Plus it fits in well with my usually lazy eye routine of a swipe of 1-2 colours, then eyeliner and mascara. LOVE IT!

14. MAC Tinted Lip Conditioner in Gentle Coral. I use this mostly in the summer as it looks best with a tan. The smell is AMAZING.

13. MD Skincare Correct & Perfect Spot Treatment. Contains sulfur so it does not smell the best but it will zap a nasty breakout over night.

12. Tresemme Volume and Lift Mousse. Gives my hair lasting volume and smells divine. See my review on it here.

11. Neutrogena Rapid Clear 2-In-1 Cleanser/Mask. Neutrogena skincare rarely fails to impress and this is one of the best. The entire Rapid Clear range (called something different in every country for some reason) is fantastic.

10. Frederic Fekkai Glossing Cream. I LOVE this, me and my hair could not live without it.

9. Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat. Best top coat I have ever used - adds shine, dries fast and makes nail polish LAST.

8. Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte Lipstick in Lingerie Pink. I don't think anyone who watched a beauty video or read a beauty blog in 2009 went without buying one of these lipsticks! I got Lingerie Pink because Lorraine (The Current Custom) raved about it so much and it has not failed to disappoint.

7. AHAVA Purifying Mud Mask for Oily Skin. I use this 1-2 times a week and it makes my skin look and feel so nice. If I have a pimple or I am getting too shiny during the day, this will reduce it.

6. OPI Nail Polish in ElePhantastic Pink. I finally found the perfect pink for me, not too bright and not too pale. Looks great on both your tips and toes!

5. Revlon Colorstay Foundation. This covers well and stays put, I only wish it had a pump as it is a little difficult to get the right amount of product out.

4. LUSH Big Shampoo. This is raved about by some, hated by others so I decided to give it a go. I LOVE how this smells and makes my hair look and feel - so shiny and clean!

3. Rimmel Moisture Renew in Nude Delight. AMAZING peachy/nude colour that I have worn from winter into spring and now summer. I get so many compliments when I wear it and cannot rave about it enough.

2. Flowerbomb by Viktor & Rolf. FAVOURITE FRAGRANCE EVER.. and I have purchased many!

1. MAC Studio Finish Concealer. Without a doubt the best thing I purchased in 2009, I think a couple of mornings I even kissed it for making me look as close to human as possible after a late night/early morning or a break out. It covers EVERYTHING and does not look caked on, everyone needs this in their life!

Where Have I Been and Where Am I Going?

I have hesitated writing this entry many times as I never wanted to reveal too much about my personal life here. I wanted it to be all fun, fashion and beauty! I do feel I need to explain and apologise for my lack of blogging and commenting recently.

My boyfriend and I recently broke up after almost 11 years together. I am doing much better than I was and feeling positive about what the future holds. A break up is still hard and takes a fair bit out of you and unfortunately blogging has been the furthest thing from my mind. I am at a different place in my life than when I started blogging (obviously!) and recently started to think about why I started this blog in the first place.

In the new year, I will be turning the direction of my blog into more of a fashion one as that is my true love. I buy a lot of Australian labels (from: MyCatwalk, BIRDMOTEL, Australian Flavour, Ciao Meow, Freez, Sportsgirl, Cue, Peep Toe Shoes and Andrea & Joen to name a few as well as some smaller, lesser known local places) so I am not sure if that will be interesting to all of you (plus the seasons are different!). I also love Revolve Clothing, Shopbop, ASOS and Topshop to name a few of the international places I regularly shop at. I am also going to purchase a full length mirror and post my outfits (I am not sure if any of you would be interested in what I wear to work? It is fairly corporate!). Makeup, skincare and nails will not be left out of course as I will still be buying and using those things, I am just not as good at it as the rest of you! I will have my own place come January that I will be buying items for (from local markets, Ikea and Etsy!!) so I will also be showing that. I plan on running a marathon in 2010 so I will share some of my training for that too as well as other exercise and health things! Would you be interested in me posting easy, healthy meal ideas? I make LOTS of salads at the moment!!

As I am single now I have a lot more time to spend on my blog (until a hot new man comes along that is!!) but I need to focus on what I love and is important to me seeing as this is my little place online. I am still not sure about making my debut on YouTube but as I will be living alone it is even more of a possibility I guess! I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for following me this year and taking the time to read and comment, it really means so much ♥ I hope you will all continue with me on this next chapter in my life!

I trust you are all enjoying your holidays, staying safe and spending time with those that you love. I spent Christmas with my family, having a BBQ and relaxing by the pool. It was wonderful and I am looking forward to what is to come in 2010..

The Temptation of St. Anthony (Salvador Dali, 1946)

I am not having a very good time at the moment, hence the lack of proper posts. I am not going to go into it on here but I will say that looking at anything by Salvador Dali makes me feel much better. This particular image reminds me of dreams I used to have when I was little. I would feel really small or big in a huge white room/nothingness and anything there would also seem small or large, close or far.

Mood: Angry and sad.

The chores you dislike the most? Cleaning the bathroom.

What color are your eyes? Green.

Are you ticklish? Yes, especially around my stomach.

Eyes/lips/cheeks: I have SO much stuff but it is the same as usual.. NARS Corfu Cream Eyeshadow, Rimmel Exaggerate Eyeliner, Lancome Hypnose Mascara/Rimmel Nude Delight Lipstick, NARS Orgasm Lipgloss/NARS Laguna and Orgasm.

What’s your favorite holiday? Australia Day.. fun in the sun without the stress of Christmas! Drinking, bbq's and a MASSIVE fireworks display.

Have you ever cried at work? Yes but not for a long time. When I was younger and just starting out I would go to the bathroom and cry when I could not figure something out.

Would you survive a zombie invasion? Doubt it.

Weekly goals: Find $1,800 and not become homeless, pack, move, work and stay positive!

Want Big Hair? Use This!

They say: For extra body and shine Tresemme Volume and Lift Mousse is a professional formula containing pro vitamin B5 and UV filter to strengthen hair and protect against environmental damage. The level of hold is minium for soft flowing styles. For extra volume, blow dry at the roots with head upside down until almost dry and then finish drying with head upright.

I apply this to my hair either before or about half way through blow drying. I then tip my head over and blow dry for a bit before returning to an upright position to finish drying my hair. After doing this my hair has amazing volume - no teasing or anything! My hair is wavy and it kind of defined the curl in my hair too.. bonus!! I have used this in the morning and brushed it (I prefer to brush it through a bit so it is not too stiff like mousse tends to leave your hair) and still had volume at the end of the day.

Not the volume that some of you require but enough of a lift for me. I prefer to stay away from teasing as it looks like it is so damaging to your hair and asking for split ends!

For reference: my hair is thin but there is LOTS of it and it is fairly long and layered.

Ever had a job with a uniform? What did it look like? Yes, I worked in a pharmacy and the uniform was a pale lime green top, navy blue skirt and blazer, a bright green and orange scarf and stockings (even during summer!). Sexxyyy!

What book are you reading right now? Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami.

Eyes/lips/cheeks: Nothing at the moment as it is too hot to wear makeup once I am at home of an evening. Earlier it was the same as it has been the past few weeks.

What’s for breakfast? I had yoghurt.

Have you dated someone shorter than you? I am not attracted to short men so no.

Guys who wear big, bold rings: hot or not? Not.. unless it is David Beckham. That guy can pull off anything!!

Outfit: Work - Grey Cue dress and black heels (I went all out!), Home - Sportsgirl jean shorts and a navy Lauren Conrad top.

Weekly goals: Run for an hour each day, clean and start packing.

Inner Earth Soaps Review + A Giveaway For Australian Residents!

When Keri at Glimmer. Gloss. Glow. was going through her recent handmade soap addiction I decided to have a look on Etsy for any soap makers in Australia. My search turned up only 2-3 and I decided to place an order at Inner Earth Soaps. I got the pack of 3 Handmade Cold Process Soaps and you get to select the soaps you would like so I picked:

* Unwind Soap - Scented with a blend of sweet lavender and refreshing spearmint & peppermint essential oils. Enriched with therapeutic french green clay.
* Vanilla Buttercream Soap - Notes of white chocolate, french vanilla, rum and smooth caramel. Enriched with nourishing cocoa butter and real vanilla bean, this bar is a delicious all-over body treat.
* Grapefruit Crush - Sweet, juicy pink grapefruit with hints of fresh lemon, Japanese yuzu, blood orange and cranberry. Coloured naturally with annatto seed powder and therapeutic clays.

The soaps arrived quick and were perfectly packaged plus there was 2 samples to try - Blush which had the fragrance of a bouquet of roses and A Dreamer's Bar which was scented with anise so the scent was identical to one of my favourite things - licorice.. YUM!

The Unwind Soap is perfect before bed, Grapefruit Crush amazing for a morning pick-me-up and Vanilla Buttercream is excellent for an indulgent treat minus the calories. It is hard for me to pick a favourite but if I had to I would say it is the Grapefruit Crush as the smell made me happy and is a perfect start to the day.

The soaps are made from scratch and the majority are vegan friendly and 100% natural . They lather really well and leave your skin feeling soft and moisturised rather than dry and tight like store-bought soap can make your skin feel. Despite the fact they lather so well the soap seems to last about twice as long as store-bought soap. I purchased the 3 soaps in early September, cut them up and put them into plastic bags. I take a piece out as I need it and I still have 4-5 pieces of soap left (I shower 2-3 times a day too so they are getting used a lot!). I will not be going back to regular soap ever again now I have tried handmade soap that is for sure!

They each come individually wrapped with cellophane, raffia and a label so they make a perfect gift. I know my mums eyes lit up when I opened my package so she will be getting some for Christmas for sure!

I am going to be placing another order very soon. I have Pink Champagne, Bahama Mama and Lemon Vanilla on my list as well as the Salt Glows.

I went a little crazy buying things at Lush! I recently asked on twitter what everyone recommended and these were the things that everyone raved about. It was the first time I had ever purchased anything for myself from Lush as the very small amount of things I have tried before have all been gifts.

Reviews on everything to follow! So far I am really loving BIG, I Love Juicy, Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter and Therapy Massage Bar!!

Stockholm Street Style kept me happy and entertained this weekend, along with watching episode after episode of The Rachel Zoe Project. Isn't fashion AMAZING?!!

Three bits of hard-learned makeup advice: 1) Less is always more, 2) DRINK WATER, and 3) Skip mascara altogether if you are going know you are going to cry during the day.

Last text message I sent: “Ok... she rang just after I talked to you. L and M apparently broke up too."

Eyes/lips/cheeks: Same as last week, haha.

Worst current skin issue: How oily it gets with the heat - I am after recommendations for a good powder to combat this as my MAC Blot Powder is not cutting it.

NOTD: OPI Do You Lilac It?

Do You Lilac It is a really pretty purple. Not too pink, grey, or blue, not too bright or dull and no sparkle or shimmer.

It goes on lovely and smooth but appeared to be streaky on the first coat. Two coats looked nice but I decided to do 3 coats for a perfect opaque look. It didn't require a top coat.

Staying power was good with no chips in the 4-5 days I wore it!

I FINALLY got around to going through all your entries! It was so much fun to read the colours you picked for me, they were actually all very close to colours I would buy or have already got in my collection!!

Onto the winners.. I checked all the entries, made sure you were all followers and put all the names (duplicates for those who did blog posts about the contest, making it 55 entries) into a spreadsheet and went to random.org and selected 1 for the minimum and 55 for the maximum. When I travel I am always on the lookout for jewellery as I love the accessories I wear to have a story - no matter what the cost or where they come from there needs to be a reason why I wear it. I love looking down at my rings or bracelets and remembering the day I got them, where I was and why I loved/purchased it!!

My boyfriends parents recently went to Brazil for a holiday and to visit family. When I was asked before they left if there was anything I would like I immediately said jewellery and it was love at first site when they gave me this on their arrival home.

Now I need to get a chain to put it on before summer as I know I am going to want to wear it a lot then!

If anyone knows what kind of a stone it is please let me know in the comments :)

I have not been officially tagged but this was started by Holly at dollymix184 and has been doing the rounds over the last week. I have enjoyed looking at everyone's selections so I wanted to give it a go myself.

Seriously HOT Irish bad boy.. Mmmm YUM, I love him, haha. In Bruges is one of my favourite movies and I could watch it over and over just to look at him ♥

I adore Sam ♥ and I am so proud to say that I went to the same high school as he did. I am thrilled that he is getting more and more movie roles so I can see him more too!!

From the moment The Hangover started I could not take my eyes off him! I recognised him and knew I had seen him in things before but I had never really paid attention - I DO NOW!!

Wayyy younger than me and apparently a bit of a dick but I do not care because he is gorgeous and makes Skins even better to watch!!

5. Michael Vartan

Damn, he is gorgeous and I think he is getting even better with age! I loved Alias and was so sad when it ended and I could not watch him on TV on a weekly basis. Any guy that can speak French fluently can never be a bad thing ♥ I think he has spent quite a bit of time here in Australia - why oh why do I have to be over this side of the country and not in Melbourne where I could attempt to run into him!!

There is no way I can do a list like this and not include two of my favourite players from my favourite (Australian) football team. Argh, look at them - I WANT!!!!!!!!

8. Alexander Skarsgard

If you follow me on twitter you will know that I LOVE True Blood. I originally started watching it last year because I really like Anna Paquin and Ryan Kwanten but have recently been paying a lot more attention to this guy. I think I prefer his character Eric more than I do him, he is so brooding and intense on the show!!

I was tagged by Anna at The Style Diet - I was so excited when I saw that I had been tagged by one of my favourite people on here so thank you Anna!!!

1. What is your favourite item of clothing?
It constantly changes but it is usually a dress of some kind! My favourite is currently this one as it is a combination of colours that I love and I adore the style:

Fashion, makeup, art, dance, music, travelling, spending time with my boyfriend, decorating my home with pretty things, summer, animals, accessories, florals, bows, tea, drinks and laughs with friends and as always - my footy team!!

This photo was taken at a game a few years ago and it still brings a tear to my eyes!!

3. Who inspires you?
My amazing family!

HAHA, I love them! This is only about a third of my family as they are all over Australia plus I now feel like I have a whole other family in Poland and France after meeting my boyfriends family last year.

4. Who is your favourite designer and why?
BALMAIN.

What can I say? I have no words!! ♥

5. What is your favourite song ever?
Difficult! There are SO many good songs that I love but my favourite ever would probably be Tiny Dancer by Elton John. I love music and always have the radio or my ipod on..my hard drive is full of music from all eras. I like to think I have a soundtrack to my life, haha.

6. What is your favourite song right now?
Also difficult! A radio station here in Australia runs a competition called Unearthed each year as a way to discover new talent around the country.. they have been playing a few of them on the radio and I really like a song by The Village Elephant called Little Boy Blue. 7. If you were a sweetie what would you be?
Unbearables.

Sour jelly bears as I can be a little unbearable sometimes!!

8. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet - what words would you use to describe your rainbow? Raspberry red, sunset orange, sunshine yellow, mint green, sky blue, wild indigo and pale violet... I have no idea if I did that correctly?!

9. What is your favourite film?
Breakfast At Tiffany's and The Wizard of Oz. I think I have watched them both over 100 times each, they never get boring.

10. Who is your favourite actor?
Brad Pitt.

11. If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you be?
London.

12. What are your 3 favourite smells?
Freshly cut grass, vanilla and my boyfriend.

Peppermint, fresh raspberries and coconut ice cream.

14. What is your most treasured possession?
Bear, a teddy bear I have had since I was born. Since my nickname is bear (especially with my parents) I get a lot of bears but this little guy has stuck with me and I would be devastated if I ever lost him.

Until I started school Bear never left my side and appears in most photos with me. My mum used to dress my brother and I in matching outfits so my grandma used to knit clothes for Bear so he could match us! Don't you love how my brother looks like an anime character, haha.

15. What did you always want to be / do when you grew up!
A dancer!

16. If you were an ice cream, what flavour would you be?
Coconut and white chocolate.

17. If someone made a short film about your life, who would play you?
Me of course!!

18. What would your perfect afternoon consist of?
A nice big healthy meal with lots of fresh fruit and vegetables, a swim and walk at the beach and then a nap in the sun with my boyfriend.

MAC Haul - Permanent Line

The rest of the items I got in my recent MAC haul were from the permanent line.

Snob Lipstick, Lipgelee in Slicked Pink and Shy Girl Lipstick.

Love them all but Snob is probably my favourite so far. Also, I have not tried it yet but I think that during the summer both the Shy Girl Lipstick and Slicked Pink Lipgelee will look great together!

Eye Shadows: Sable, Satin Taupe, All That Glitters, Twinks.

Loving all these eye shadows. I only have a few MAC eye shadows so I selected these specifically to bring out my green eyes. Satin Taupe is AMAZING ♥

Bare Study Paint Pot and Well Dressed Powder Blush.

I have wanted both of these products for awhile and I am so glad I finally have them as I know I will be using both of them a lot!!

MAC Haul - Collections.

First up from my recent MAC haul are some items from recent collections: A Rose Romance, Naked Honey, Colour Craft and Euristocrats 2.

Naked Honey Skin Salve.

I LOVE THIS!! It has a gorgeous honey/floral scent that is not too overpowering and it is really moisturising. I was not going to get it originally but I went to pick it up for Michelle as she could not find it anywhere in the UK and it had just come out in Australia so there was plenty. The girls at the MAC counter raved about it so much that I got one for myself, opened it as soon as I got back to my desk and have used it every day since. I mainly use it on my lips but have also used it around my eyes a few times as one of the MAC girls said she was using it as an eye cream. The cold winter wind has made the skin around my eyes a little dry and this fixed that up over night. It is still available at MAC Australia for all you Australian's that have not picked this up yet.

Way To Love, Saint Germain, Colour Crafted and Daft Pink Mineralize Blush.

I love all the lipsticks so far but the blush is pretty much glitter with a hint of pink (serves me right for getting it because of the name!). I think it will look much better once I have a tan in a few months for a night out!!

What are three of your favorite eyeshadow crease colors? I do not crease as I am lazy and can never get it to look good. I apply one colour to my eyelids, a highlight and then go crazy with eyeliner and mascara!

Do you think men and women can be platonic friends without any weirdness? Absolutely. All my better friends are males and I do not have many close female friends.

What’s the next book you’d like to read? I constantly have several books on the go. I am yet to purchase New Moon (haha) so perhaps that before someone or the movie ruins it for me.

What are you looking forward to most this week? Spending time with my boyfriend as he is going to Melbourne next week :( We are going out with some friends to a Mexican restaurant on Thursday and I am also really looking forward to that!

If you had the chance to go back and re-live your high school years but with all the knowledge you have now, would you? YES, school was great for me and I loved how I got to dance and perform on a daily basis. I was a lot more shy than I am now so I think I missed out on a few things because of that, it would be great to see how I would deal with them now.

Nivea Creme.

I LOVE THIS!!!

I have a habit of buying face moisturisers but never using them because I love the idea of them but I am afraid they are going to break me out. My skin is combination/oily, prone to breakouts and can also be fairly sensitive. I generally stick to Cetaphil during the day and Bio Oil at night but recently my skin has been acting up and nothing I have used has helped it so I decided to try this out.

Nivea Creme seems to be something that people either love or hate due to the smell and rich, creamy texture. I like to apply this after I have had a shower when my face is still warm and damp so it basically melts into my skin. My spots have cleared up and I have not had a major breakout since I started using it about a month ago. Just one application dries up any pimples that may appear and my boyfriend even commented that my skin was looking great recently and he never does that! My skin is also less oily during the day which is an added bonus.

I am not sure if I will continue using this into the warmer months but it is perfect for my skin at the moment when the weather is cooler. It is so inexpensive and the tub is fairly large so it last for awhile. It can also be used all over your body - what is not to love?!

I have been asked to make a post about my skincare routine a few times. As I am seriously considering doing YouTube, I am going to save it for a video so I can ramble on and show all the different products I have/use and love/hate.

I found this on the facebook page of a girl I used to dance with. It is from my dancing school in 1997! It was a dance that involved some football teams in Australia and it was SO much fun!! I am at the front in the red and white costume, second from the end.

Love (makeup related): Not much I am afraid, very uninspired and more into fashion this week. Probably due to the weather being nice and thinking about all the summer dresses and swimwear making its way into the shops and thinking about what I want to buy!

Love (non-makeup related): The Inbetweeners - LOVE this show!!! I got it because a lot of people on here and twitter raved about it. My boyfriend and I started watching it this weekend and we both laughed so much at it! Cannot wait to get the time to watch the rest of the episodes.

What's your favourite makeup look?

Flawless foundation, lots of mascara and eyeliner and pink/nude lips.

What part of your body do you love?
My eyes - they are very green and people always comment on them :)

Who is your beauty icon?
I do not have just one.. Miranda Kerr, Jennifer Hawkins, Lara Bingle, Lauren Conrad, Brigitte Bardot, Emma Watson, Françoise Hardy, Victoria Beckham, Sienna Miller, Grace Kelly and Jean Shrimpton.

What beauty products make you feel instantly sexy?
Eyeliner, mascara, lipstick/gloss, body moisturiser and perfume.

How do you look after your skin?
WATER!! 2-3 litres a day. Exercise and healthy eating also help to make my skin glow but I am not so good at sticking to those things. I do not have that many products when it comes to skincare but I try to moisturise it on a daily basis and ALWAYS apply an SPF before going out in the sun.

What is your signature scent?
Flowerbomb by Viktor & Rolf.

What are your hair care secrets?
Everyone loves my hair as it usually looks healthy and shiny, grows so fast and has so many colours through it but the truth is I rarely brush my hair, I have not coloured it in years, it has to get really bad or have terrible split ends before I go to the hairdresser, I use heat wayyyy too much on it and I wash it on a daily basis. I never use deep treatments or masks on it either. I love Redkin All Soft and Herbal Essences shampoo & conditioner, Frédéric Fekkai Glossing Cream, John Frieda Secret Weapon Flawless Finishing Creme, Lakme Teknia Deep Care Drops and Kevin Murphy Hair Resort.

How do you pamper yourself?
I have never been to a spa or anything as I do not like the idea of people I do not know touching me, haha. I have had one facial and it broke me out and the result of the manicures I have had have been worse than what I can do at home!

Pampering to me is having a long hot shower, a sleep in, time with my boyfriend, spending a little time laying out in the sun (slathered in sunscreen of course!!) or going to the beach.

What is your beauty pet peeve?
Unblended or the wrong colour foundation.

What would be your desert island must haves?
Sunscreen, lip balm and a razor.

Finally, do you have a beauty philosophy?
Nothing is more beautiful than a smile or a laugh. Do what makes you happy, suits your lifestyle and think looks good on you. Make sure you get plenty of sleep, exercise regulary, eat healthily, drink plenty of water and ALWAYS apply a SPF!!

I know it is Tuesday but better late than never right?

My boyfriend and I went for a drive on the weekend and if you follow me on twitter you may have seen that we saw some whales!! We were driving along the beach and saw some people gathered looking out to sea so we stopped and got out of the car to see a mother and baby swimming close by a group of surfers pretty close to the shore.

Mood: Assorted...and I would rather not go into it anymore than that.

Fragrance: 4711 - I LOVE this. My Grandma wore it and I wear it from time to time when I am feeling low or need a bit of summer.

Thinking about: Throwing out magazines, selling books, putting clothes and shoes on ebay, cleaning the house, things I want to buy for the house, moving, DECLUTTERING. I go through stages, my current one is obviously my home.

I am so tired at the moment and I thought it was a good way of letting you know what I have been doing without having to pay much attention!!

Mood: EMOTIONAL!

I started my new job today, which was fantastic but I am so incredibly tired and drained from it. It has also been a year this week since I left for Europe with my boyfriend :( My cousin left today for Europe, first stop London. You all know how much I adore London so while I am happy for her, I am also a bit envious of the fun I know she and her boyfriend have ahead of them over the next few months - plus I only went for a month so.. JEALOUS! Together with my extreme tiredness it is just mixing up all my emotions BIG TIME.

I am also not sure right now if we will be going to Europe in September like I have previously posted about. There are problems for me as I just started a new job and problems for my boyfriend as he is going for business and people keep messing him around with plans and it is hard for me to book around that. Still saving though and will be booking a holiday somewhere very soon - it helps get you through work even if it is awhile away!

Mascara: Lancome Hypnose Mascara.

Last movie I watched: Cinema: The Hangover - Brilliant, SO funny and Bradley Cooper is HOT. DVD: P.S. I Love You - I cried a lot!

Lipgloss or Lipstick: The Body Shop Watermelon Born Lippy Balm. My lips are so dry because of the cold weather so I have just been applying this recently, I LOVE it.

Outfit: Grey work dress over a white business shirt and black opaque stockings plus a black trench for most of the day as I was SO cold. Peter Alexander PJ's since I got home.

Shoes: Sachi grey suede heels for work, just socks now I am home.

Blush: NARS Orgasm.

Eyeliner: Prestige Black Eyeliner Pencil.

Breakfast beverage: Just water as I was so nervous about starting work.

Goals for the week:
1. Learn as much as possible at work.
2. Try to workout or go for a walk 2-3 times this week. Don't ask me about the 30 Day Shred as it has not been going so well - I am terrible when it comes to doing exercise on a regular basis!
3. Get to bed before 1am (I am a complete insomniac but I need sleep so I can concentrate and learn at work). It is 1.26am now so FAIL.
4. Figure out if we are going to Europe in September, start booking/planning.
5. Book an appointment to get my hair cut on Saturday.

I am a bit late to do this and I don't think I was officially tagged but I liked doing the last tag so I thought I would complete this one too!

1. Things you cannot leave the house without:
My bag. Even if I am just getting in the car to go and get take away food I take it with me - that way if the house gets broken into I still have everything in my bag! I carry a lot of stuff in it and people tease me, but they are always the people that come to me when they need headache tablets, a band aid or a tissue!

2. Favourite brand of Make Up:
MAC, NARS or Revlon.

3. Favourite flower:
Lilies. My boyfriend buys me different flowers every Friday, fresh flowers make the place look so pretty!

4. Favourite clothing store:
I shop online at MyCatwalk and birdmotel a lot. Country Road and Cue for work, Sportsgirl for casual. Peter Alexander for pajamas/home (yes, that is clothing!)

5. Favourite perfume:
Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb.

6. Heels or Flats:
Heels. I always wear heels to work and when I go out. The only time I wear flats is if I am going very casual to family/friends place, to the beach/pool or working out. My boyfriend is 6'6" (198 cm) while I am 5'7" (170cm) and I do not feel good standing next to him in flats!

7. Do you make good grades:
I do very well when it is something that I enjoy.

8. Favourite colours:
Purple - it used to be my favourite colour and then it wasn't for awhile but now it is again. I also like anything pastel like lilac, apricot, peach, mint green, sky blue and baby pink. To wear it would be black, grey or white.. boring I know!

9. Do you drink energy drinks:
I used to drink them a lot but stopped after they started causing stomach problems.

10. Do you drink juice:
Love fresh juice as long as it is COLD. Love any kind of mix, fruit or vegetable or both!

11. Do you like swimming:
LOVE swimming. I have lived close to the beach my entire life and I am very much a beach girl. Once I am in the water, either the ocean or a pool, you will have a hard time getting me out. I did all my lessons up to surf lifesaving and my boyfriend is a former state swimmer so we go swim laps from time to time - great workout without getting sweaty!!

12. Do you eat fries with a fork:
No.

13. Favourite moisturiser:
Nivea for face, The Body Shop for body.

14. Do you want to get married later on in life:
Of course I do, total princess wedding for me!!

15. Do you get mad easily:
YES. Thanks to my dad I am a very emotional and passionate person with a very short fuse - volatile! Sometimes it might be because of something on the tv/news but the majority of the time it is because I cannot do something right, get something to work (especially my computer) or find something. I also have pretty high expectations of people and get pretty upset/angry when they are not met! The worst part is that I am not afraid to let my anger or disappointment be known.. especially when it comes to something like customer service or someone doing something that is just plain rude. I never get physical or loud but how hard is it to put a smile on your face and be helpful & nice?

16. Are you into ghost hunting:
I went on a cemetery tour once on holiday on an island off the coast called Rottnest and if you look it up you will understand that it is not really the place you would want to be raising the dead! It was at night and we were basically looking for ghosts.. so if that is what ghost hunting is then I have done it and it was fun when I was 14 but I wouldn't do it again nor would I say was into it.

17. Any phobias -
Clowns!! I cannot look at them because they scare the hell out of me! Also open water but not when I am in it or over it in a boat or plane, just when I think about it while sitting at home (weird I know!) as it is so vast and deep and there are some massive creatures in it! I am still like a kid and I will ask my boyfriend to show me how big a shark/whale/stingray is in comparison to the house.. it amazes me!!

18. Do you bite your nails:
No. I used to until mid way through high school and then I stopped. Now I rarely find myself doing it.

19. Have you ever had a near death experience:
I am the biggest klutz you will ever meet and while I hurt myself a lot I have never broken any bones apart from a toe or had any surgery.. yet! I burn myself and get bruises often though!

I had glandular fever pretty bad after I finished high school. I lost a lot of weight (and I was already skinny as!) and had problems with my kidney and liver.. spent about 5 months in bed and had to be helped in the shower as I was so weak - not fun!

Also, this is not near death, but possibly the scariest.. I once tripped and fell while practising at dancing, was rushed to hospital via ambulance and ended up in emergency unable to feel my back. I was made to lay on a wooden plank for hours, have tons of tests before they did an exam and allowed me to move. I was in pain for weeks and bruised all over but fine.

20. Do you drink coffee -
Yes, I love my soy cappuccino's!!! I do not have it every day and sometimes go for weeks without one but then something will trigger me to have it again like a bad day at work, late night/early morning, going to France (best coffee!!) or just feeling like one when I am out for a meal (yes, I am easily swayed). I hated the stuff until I started working and I would prefer a coffee shop made one over an instant any day. I still do not like anything coffee flavoured like ice cream or cake. I also have a lot of tea...love my tea!

10 Random Things About Me.

I was tagged by Sophie, Lucy and Jen to do The Honest Scrap TAG and Marta to do 10 Random Things About Me. Seeing as there is no way I could come up with more than 10 things about me I have combined them together. You all know the rules by now so here we go:

1. I danced between the ages of 5 and 18. I did dance at school as well as privately totalling about 20 hours (30+ during competition, exam and concert time) of dancing per week for all but 1 month of the year. My favourite was tap but I also did jazz, ballet, contemporary, spanish, russian, character, etc.. I did hundreds of performances and I still have the costumes to show for it. I miss it a lot as you can probably tell by the amount I am going on about it and dance is still a major passion but I passed the point where dancing with my local dance school was enough for me. I still have dreams of gaining the courage to audition for Burn The Floor, Moulin Rogue or other large stage shows as the thrill of performing was what it was all about for me!!

2. I do not want kids. The motherly instinct has not kicked in yet and I have honestly never felt it. I am terrified of pregnancy and kids until they are about 4, after that they are fine as long as they are not mine. I am kind of alone these days in my former circle of friends because most of them have 1 or more kids and would rather talk about their kids, husbands and houses (which is fine but not for me!) while I am at uni, working and spending all my money on makeup and clothes.

3. I LOVE sport. I am a massive fan of Australian football (AFL), cricket, tennis and I never miss a Formula 1 or MotoGP race but I can watch or talk about any sport really.

4. For the above two reasons - I have no close girlfriends and would rather spend time with guys. I think this is why I love this online beauty/fashion world as I have nobody to talk about this stuff with.

5. I have never, ever used a sunbed and never will.

6. I dislike people that give up on things. I would seriously rather die than be seen giving up! It takes people awhile to realise that if you make a point of telling me I cannot do something I will try harder and go stronger to prove that I can.

7. I live in Perth (Australia) and I have travelled to London, Wales, France, Belgium, Poland, Czech Republic, Sydney and Melbourne. I have many more places I intend to visit and plan to keep travelling until I die. I would LOVE to live in London - I felt instantly at home from the moment I stepped out of our hotel room and enjoyed every second of my time there. My screen saver is shots of London from the sky at night and I get all teary when I think about my time there or I hear about people I know going there.

8. I am VERY organised and a complete perfectionist but fairly messy and when I clean - I CLEAN LIKE A CRAZY WOMAN. I can only be messy for so long before it starts to irritate me and I will clean for hours, even if it is late.

9. I love watching men drive - especially a manual. I do not know what it is or why but I find it incredibly sexy, haha.

10. People that do not know me cannot place my accent. I get asked if I am from England, South Africa and New Zealand more than Australia. I have actually been teased about the way I say some words. My dad was born in England and both he and my grand parents still have/had accents so I guess I picked up on them.. I do not get South Africa or New Zealand though!

I miss summer :(

It has been cold and rainy for about a week with only bursts of sunshine here and there so like every other person in Australia I am beginning to think the world is ending!!

I thought I would show my many pieces of swimwear. I do not think it is too many but everyone else does. I spend 10 months of the year at the beach or around a pool and therefore I feel it is necessary to have many bikinis. You do not wear the same outfit every time you leave the house do you?

The good
- Evens out and hydrates oily or combination skin.
- Wonderful after sun exposure.
- Oil free, no greasy feeling.
- Suitable for sensitive, dehydrated skin.

The bad
- It is packaged in a jar so you have to dip you finger into it which I never like doing!
- While the smell is not terrible, it is also not good - it is kind of herbal but it does go away eventually and I actually kind of like the smell now.
- It is a little difficult to apply since it has a thick, sticky consistency but it is easily absorbed upon application.
- It is fairly expensive, but you do not have to use much so a jar goes a long way.

The rest
The results are amazing! My skin tone is more even, and definitely smoother. I am also less oily on my t-zone and I do not have to touch up my makeup as much. I have combination/oily skin which means it can be oily one day, dry the next and breakout soon after that so it is difficult to find something that does not irritate my skin while actually doing something good for it like this gel does.

I have used this both during the day and at night (sometimes I feel it is a bit too much under my moisturiser and foundation). Either way, during the day it guards my skin against breakouts and is excellent at keeping the shine at bay or the next morning I wake up to radiant, supple skin. I put a small amount on my palms and warm it up slightly before applying. It is a bit tacky after application but dries very quickly. I have had no problems using my normal moisturiser on top.

Best suited for
As well as being great for normal skin, it is excellent for oily, combination or sensitive skin. Pretty much anyone can use it without fear of congestion or irritation.

30 Day Shred.

I tried Jillian Michaels’ (of The Biggest Loser) 30 Day Shred workout during the summer but it was way too hot and I ended up giving up after about 5 days. For the time that I did do it, I definitely saw results so now it is winter I am going to give it a go again!

You start at level one no matter what your level of fitness then after 10 days switch to level two then onto level three after another 10 days. You can move up to the next level at your own pace of course as there is no time limit for moving on to the following level. I hope to be able to move up after 10 days though.

There is a short warm-up, three circuits, and a short stretch at the end, making the workout a little more than 20 minutes. It is a very intense and non-stop twenty minutes though! The circuits contain exercises like squats, overhead dumbbell presses, jumping jacks, crunches, back rows, lunges with bicep curls, punching, butt kicks, chest flys and side lunges with front raises. It is advised that you warm up a little prior to starting the workout plus cool down and stretch more when you are finished.

I plan on doing this for 60 days (starting 1 July and going through the program two times - once at the beginner level and then the advanced) by which time it will be the end of August and starting to get warmer so I can integrate it with walking and running. It will also be a little less than a month before I go away so I will hopefully be getting into great shape! I will keep you posted on my progress and do a review when I am completely done with the program.

I originally saw this on Zoella's blog awhile ago and thought it was a wonderful idea as a way of getting to know someone. I love photos and they play a big part in my life, always have. I LOVE going back through all my photos for the memories that they bring.

So, you have to post 8 photos you feel are relevant in portraying who you are as a person or just photos from a memory or an event...anything! You can even be completely random and click anywhere in your photos and upload the ones you happen to click. It will be really interesting to see what photos people post and will also be lots of fun.

I found this wayyyy more difficult to do than I thought I would. I am lucky I do not have all my photos on this computer or I would have been doing this post forever.

This is a contest entry for vscupcakecouture!!! Her blog is AMAZING so follow her if you are not already, she is also on youtube here. She is giving away some amazing prizes for this contest (click the above picture to go to the actual contest announcement entry) so if you have the time enter as I am sure she would love you to do so. The contest ends on 29 June so be quick!

She asked for entries to be a simple way to go from day to night (work to going out) using either clothes or makeup. I did both!

I have never entered a competition either on youtube or here on my blog that involved me having to actually do something other than be a follower, say enter me or answer a question. This contest caught my attention though because on any given day (Friday especially!) after work you will usually find me either in the bathroom at the office struggling for mirror space or rushing home for 5 minutes in an effort to make myself look a little nicer before going out for a drink or dinner.

I like to make it as easy as possible but still look nice and fresh when I go out, not like I have been sitting at my desk all day. As I usually know I will be going out I do my hair in the morning so that I do not have to do much with it other than a brush or spray of hairspray.

So I did a few clothes ideas -

I got a little carried away haha. I am not going to list everything as I think you can pretty much see what I have added and taken away to change the outfits! The silver item in the second set is a dress, just a very MINI dress!!

Now for makeup -

On a day to day basis I wear:
-Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer
-MAC Studio Finish Concealer
-Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser in Sand
-NARS Blush in Nico (brushed all over face with a fluffy brush)
-NARS Laguna Bronzer
-MAC Blush in Dollymix
-Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow in Birthday Suit (over most of the lid)
-NARS Cream Eye Shadow in Corfu (on the lid, concentrating on the outer corner)
-MAC Powerpoint Eye Pencil in Stubborn Brown
-Lancome Hypnose Black Mascara
-MAC Pink Fish

For a night out, I add to the above:
-MAC Studio Fix Powder (with a MAC 182 brush I sweep this all over quickly as it gives a fuller, more flawless finish)
-NARS Blush in Nico (brushed all over face with a fluffy brush)
-MAC Blush in Dollymix (needs to be reapplied as I have added foundation)
-MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Light Flush (as a highlight)
-Lancome Artliner in Liquid Eyeliner (My day eyeliner has usually worn off by now or I smudge it a little with a q-tip, I then apply black liquid liner and wing it out for a bit more of a dramatic look!)
-MAC Lipstick in Angel
-MAC Tinted Lipglass in Florabundance

The shoes that did not make it into my shoe blog! These babies were about AU$20 from Target a few years ago and have been with me through many concerts and travels. They are so comfortable and I still love them even though they look a little worse for wear!!

Hair Product

Frederic Fekkai Glossing Cream. I have used this for awhile now and while I have tried many other things I always return to this. It makes blowdrying and straightening my hair a breeze!

Perfume

Flowerbomb by Viktor & Rolf <3 I got this in Duty Free on the way home from Europe last year and whenever I spray it I am reminded of back then. Love the scent and the bottle. I was not really into perfume before getting this but I will forever need this in my life!

Handbag

Purchased at Oroton. Big enough for all my stuff but still looks good for work. Love it.. that is until Chanel or LV come along!!

Pigment: Never used. I can see myself spilling it all over me so I just stay away. I should really get Vanilla as you can do so much with it and Circa Plum from the Rose Romance collection was very pretty.

15. I LOVE ballet flats with skinny jeans for casual days/nights out. This pink pair from Target are my faves apart from my black ones (that have been all over Europe and Australia with me, to see Daft Punk and are very dirty but I refuse to throw them out!).

13. Havaianas!!! Live in them during the summer. The green/yellow pair are from my boyfriends cousin in Brazil!

I have been avoiding replying to all your comments as I am so sad to report that by the time I decided to get bracelet A it was sold out and was not being re-stocked. I loved it from the moment I saw it so I do not know why I did not snap it up straight away! What is done is done though so I am trying to get over it. I am trying to save to go away and I already have plenty of jewellery so it is probably a good thing in the end.

It was just sooooo pretty!!!! :(

- MAC Hello Kitty TLC in Pink Fish - I talked myself out of getting it so many times but I eventually caved in.
- MAC MSF in Light Flush - Looks similar to Petticoat but is more peach and less glitter so I like it more.
- NARS Blush in Nico - I read that this was supposed to be used all over rather than as blush to give an airbrushed finish, so far I am loving it!!
- St Ives Apricot Scrub - Invigorating.
- Some soy wax melts, Lancome Juicy Tube Trial size clear gloss and other samples as extras (I already have the gloss so I kept it sealed and put it away for a contest I am thinking of having.. stay tuned!)

Hair Change.

Loving Lauren with darker, shorter hair - pity it is a wig!!

My hair is a lighter (I don't die it) but I am soooo tempted to go for a cut like this. My hair grows REALLY fast and I hate going to the hairdresser so I usually have mid to long length hair which I am finding so boring. Hello to all my lovely new followers!!

I was a little confused as to where you were all coming from until I was catching up on youtube and saw a video by the beautiful Bonnie (aka SushiRockStar) talking about doing the 100 push-ups + 200 sit-ups training program that I recently blogged about! I told her about it in a comment on her blog as she was looking for ways to tone up because we all know us girls like to look toned and terrific in our bikinis, dresses, shorts and singlets during the warmer months (sigh.. it is winter here so I am also living vicariously through everyone in the northern hemisphere!!)

My boyfriend was a little angry that I started jumping around the house yelling that Bonnie mentioned me in a video. It was after midnight, I was loud and he thought I had hurt myself. It was not until I calmed down that I explained who Bonnie was (I think I may have said - OMG, she is famous on youtube!) I got rolled eyes and told to calm down. Men just do not understand these things I swear!

So, HELLO :)

Please let me know if you have any questions and if you are doing the 100 push-ups + 200 sit-ups program let me know how you are going!

I think I am going to do some more health and fitness posts as it is also something that I am interested in as well as fashion and makeup plus it is all part of becoming Polished!!

Mission Complete!!

I finished cleaning out my closet about a week ago and I am only just getting around to posting pictures of the finished result. I procrastinate a fair bit if you have not already noticed!

Due to the fact that I procrastinate it took a lot longer to do than it would any normal person. There was a lot of sitting on the floor pouting to myself at the amount of 'stuff' that I manage to buy. I also moved things around a bit to make things fit and look nice - much like doing a puzzle, haha.

I am currently loving the ability to open my closet and being able to easily pick out a skirt, top and heels for the day then moving onto my makeup and knowing where this lipstick or that powder is. If I need stockings, a headband or a nail polish they are now easy to find. I must also admit that I have gone into my room for no reason other than just to take a look and admire my work.. more than once!!

Enough rambling, here are the pictures:

I went for a walk earlier stopping by the post office for some packages that had come for me!

The first package was a book (Remember Me? by Sophie Kinsella) to read and review.

The second package was a little more exciting - nail polish!!

Update on the closet clean out: I have cleaned every other room in the house, done the washing, cleaned my makeup brushes, sorted out my makeup and cleaned the bathroom cabinet but have not yet got to my clothes.. I think I am procrastinating a bit!! Tomorrow is the day.. it has to be!

Hot and Not.

Hot:

- Having a wonderful Saturday with my boyfriend before he left today.
- The weather still being quite warm despite it being mid may and almost "winter".
- Using Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser for the 4th time and finally learning to love it.
- Packages in the mail - finally caved and got some Hello Kitty things from MAC!!
- Eurovision - the good and the bad, I love all of it.
- Procrastinating the cleaning of my closet.

Not:

- My boyfriend being away for work until Friday evening :(
- My football team losing.
- Having to vote yesterday to see if we should have daylight savings during the summer months.
- Not getting daylight savings.
- Living in one of the most beautiful but the most boring place in the world.
- Nude lips - saw myself in a photo and I looked DEAD.. never again!
- Procrastinating the cleaning of my closet.

What made you choose your blog/Twitter/YouTube username?
I wanted something related to beauty/fashion/style/fitness and The Polished seemed like a good way to explain the finished product of doing all that. I wanted it to be bold and without numbers or x's or other letters as that annoys the OCD in me, haha. My boyfriend is also Polish so it kind of has a hidden meaning.

- Dancing (I have danced since I was 5)

- Art, music, sport (I am no good at art, music or playing sport but I enjoy going to galleries, concerts, festivals and watching sport either live or on tv)

I LOVE watching sport, to the point where I get excited & emotional when a big game is on or my team is playing/winning! Football (Aussie Rules), formula 1, motoGP, cricket, rugby, soccer, tennis.. you name it I can watch it and talk for hours and hours about it.

Tell us a little something that we don't already know about you
I went to the same school as Sam Worthington (DROOL!!), Bon Scott, Paul Mercurio, Megan Gale and Simon Lyndon. I have also met Adam Garcia, he liked what I was wearing haha.

What achievement are you most proud of?
Finishing high school with a distinction in dance. I did it as a specialist program with drama and it was hard work and a lot more hours than regular students but it was well worth it.

What do you most like about yourself?
I can pretty much make anyone smile or laugh. Looks-wise I like my skin, hair and eyes and I like that people think I look much younger than I actually am!!

What would you change about yourself if you could?
I am a drama queen with a tendancy to act like a child if I cannot get my own way. I would not change that about me completely - just tone it down a bit and maybe make me a little less lazy and klutzy too.

I went to the zoo on Sunday and had a lot of fun! Got a little burnt/sun stroke as apparently summer is not ending here in Australia or not at least where I am.

My boyfriend is going away on Sunday for for 6 days :( I am going to be taking the opportunity to do my closet clean up then (yes, I have not started!). That way I can pull everything out and put it on the bed, only putting back the stuff I love and need and selling/giving away the rest. I will not be able to sleep in the bed until it is all done so hopefully this will make me move faster as our couch is not so comfortable!

My desire to move to London (or anywhere in Europe really!) increases on a daily basis. I love Perth and Australia but I NEED a change and moving to another state does not seem enough as much as I love Melbourne. My cousin is going to be spending a month in London soon and I am completely jealous, my 3 days there last July was simply not enough!!

My boyfriend submitted a paper for a conference in Ireland in September so I am trying to save like crazy so I can go with him if he gets approved to present. We have talked about going to London, Spain or Italy, Belgium (maybe) and Singapore if we do go. I really, REALLY hope this happens!

This is all over the place so I am going to get to bed.. xox

My Closet Makeover!

I am going to be cleaning up my closet this week as it is currently a nightmare. I have recently been throwing things in as I use/buy them and I can no longer find anything I want. Nothing is in order, my bags are a mess and I cannot get to my shoes as things are in the way.

I took some before pictures to display the current mess and once I am done I can take new pictures to (hopefully) show how much nicer it looks!

Messy huh? There are some of my boyfriends business shirts and some old dance costumes at the end but the rest is mine!

I also have two sets of draws overflowing with things (plus a bunch of things on an unused bed upstairs)

My bags are on the floor :/

HELP!!!

My shoes are behind there somewhere!

The next time you see my closet it will not look like such a disaster - I hope!!

Neutrogena Rapid Clear Cleansing Pads.

WONDER PRODUCT ALERT:

Yesterday morning I woke up with a few MASSIVE pimples scattered over my face. I suspect it was due to the fact I slept with my full makeup on last weekend which I usually NEVER do! I had run out of my Neutrogena Rapid Clear Cleansing Pads recently but as I had no pimples I did not miss them - until now!

I had to send my boyfriend out for them as I was so embarrased at how my face looked. I used them this morning and now the pimples are almost gone!! Tomorrow morning (after another treatment tonight) they should be unnoticeable once I have done my makeup, yay!

Eight Things

1) Seeing my boyfriend :)
2) Pay day - so I can go shopping but this will not be happening for awhile seeing as I am saving to go to Europe again in September!
3) My morning coffee! Double shot soy cappuccino.. I am a PAIN without it.
4) Hot showers - I love them and believe they can make any bad day better.
5) Summer - in Australia it means Christmas, Australia Day, staying after work for drinks, evenings that never end, lots of parties/sunday sessions, days at the beach, watching the cricket, eating icy poles, bbq's, never getting out of your bikini or the pool, tossing and turning all night as even a sheet makes you hot and I LOVE it all!!
6) Christmas - because of the above and getting to spend time with my wonderful family. I love christmas carols and shopping for presents and I am always so upset when it is over. I would love to spend Christmas in either London or New York so I can have a white Christmas too.
7) Going back to Europe - hopefully going to Ireland, London and Spain in September *fingers crossed I can save in time*
8) Getting married - I do not want to do it yet but I think it is something most girls dream of doing and how they would do it.

1) Had a coffee.
2) Cheered my football (Aussie Rules) team on - they won!
3) Made shepherds pie with my boyfriend.
4) Watched Party Down (my new favourite tv show) and The Office.
5) Talked to my mum on the phone.

8) Wished farewell to my boyfriends parents who were off to South America for 6 weeks.

3) Be a less jealous of people - I never let it show but i always feel it on the inside and I hate it!!

6) Stick to an exercise routine seeing as I am never going to change the way I eat!!
7) Land the perfect job; or
8) Never have to work again and just travel forever.

100 Push-ups + 200 Sit-ups

For the last 4 weeks I have been doing these two programs: hundredpushups and twohundredsitups.

As you can see it is pretty straight forward. I do it 3x a week followed by 15-20 minutes of yoga/pilates/stretching and I cannot begin to tell you the improvement it has made in my body!

AMAZING.

I started being able to do about 4 consecutive (girly) push-ups and now I can do 25 (still girly though) and sit-ups I started at just over 100 and can now almost do 200 :D

Although I love the feeling you get after a workout I can be pretty lazy and after years of dancing (30+ hours per week) and cross country running among many other activities I will find any reason not to exercise. With the weather slowly getting cooler here I really have no excuse not to start doing some cardio now. The improvement I am seeing from doing this for 30 minutes in frount of the tv three times a week should be all the motivation that I need.

If you give this a go let me know how it goes for you. Challenge your partner (I am beating my boyfriend by farrrr.. haha) or even a family member or room/workmate!!
